With this project ‘De tafel dekken voor Gisteren’, DDC aims for three concrete, interconnected objectives: The ensemble wants to grow artistically from a performing ensemble to a creating collective. Challenging and pushing the boundaries and possibilities of the recorder and also approaching and expressing the polyphonic repertoire in a contemporary way thanks to genre combinations with Osaka Riot via electronic music with analogue modular synths, with Teletext via cabaret and Abrahamblue via R&B/soul.

DDC enters into co-creations with artists from the broader music field. By removing the musical (genre) barriers, DDC wants to realize an artistic interaction between the different genres. DDC finds artists in the different genres who have the same curiosity for polyphonic music as DDC has for their genres. DDC is convinced that thanks to this mutual curiosity, musical boundaries can transcend musical genre barriers.
